PD Reflection
When I first began thinking about what to plan for my professional development I really thought about what we hadn't been trained on yet. At my school I find that we have lots of training on a variety different topics. While reading the articles I learned that the training needs to be relevant to what teachers are doing in their classrooms daily. This will ensure that teachers are going to be more likely to use the knowledge in their class. I also discovered that teachers that are hesitant to come to training at first, are easily persuaded to try it if it is directly connected to their curriculum.

I enjoyed reading your post. Reaching out to reluctant teachers is one of the greatest hurdles we will have to address as we move forward. The more educators we have on board participating in PD the higher success the school will have on improving learning for all students. If you are ever interested in a resource try reading writings by Joellen Killion.
