So Close To A Giveaway!!!!!!!

I've been sitting at around 90ish followers for a few weeks now and have been waiting to hit the 100 followers mark and were getting super close ladies and gents!!!!!!  I am thinking up a super sweet giveaway once the last person crosses over to the dark side twin/taco side and becomes a member of my cult  my blog!!!  I'm super excited and hopefully by this time tomorrow I'll be posting an actually giveaway and not just a tease for a giveaway!

So Glad for Tacos and My Bloggy Friends!

I have not had a day like I had today in a LOOOOONG time!  It was horrible!  I woke up this morning and had a feeling that it was going to be a rough one, but I had no idea how rough it would be.  My National Boards stuff is due at the end of the month (and I am wasting time blogging catching up with all my friends instead of working on it!), I had to lead a tech training session today and all my Dibles data has to be in in 7 days!  The day started out bad and ended up in the deepest pit possible.  Ok maybe I'm being a little dramatic, but you get the gist, HORRIBLE DAY!  

On the upside, it was Taco night and I got to enjoy delicious tacos with the hubs, my girlies, and my bloggy bff....Amber!  We ALWAYS have the best time!  If it hadn't been for the tacos, I do believe this day would have been a dark cloud over my whole week.  

You guys out in the blogosphere also made my day more tolerable.  I have the best bloggy friends out there.  I was honored to be given awards from 2 lovely ladies.

As if that wasn't enough, she said the nicest things about me which made me feel all fuzzy inside.

I feel so lucky to have such awesome support from all of ya'll!  When I've had a bad day, I can always count on getting on here and ya'll making me feel so much better.  Ohhh and my girls make me feel better too!  

How can you not smile when you see they are both ready for the Zombie Apocalypse!  

Showing The Love

Last week was a pretty bad week.  I have iPods that I use in my classroom for instruction.  I got them because I applied to be a technology leader in my district and was given several tech items to use.  Well on Wednesday, 3 of them went missing!!!!!  I know it wasn't my kids because they were devastated, and I almost cried right in front of them.  My buddy Amber, at Adventures of a Third Grade Teacher, made me this sweet Hey, Girl poster to make me feel better.

Isn't that awesome of her to make this poster of hotness to make me feel better!  I am going to hang it up on my wall near my guided reading table.  Ohhhh and it was Taco Night tonight!  Great as always.

The next love was from Teri over at A Cupcake for a Teacher.  She has the BEST craftivities!  I love the Bee Mine craft idea and totally had to make it for my Vday door.

I added the cute clipart from Scrappin' Doodles.  I just love the big eyed bees.

My last Bit O' Love is from Crystal at Kreative in Kinder.  She was my awesome bloggy Valentine Exchange partner.  I missed out on this over Christmas and knew I wasn't going to miss this one!  I was so excited to get my package and then when I opened it and was even happier!

What teacher doesn't like poster markers, colored gel pens, post-its and a sweet journal!  Add in a pack of gum, some chapstick (my fav brand!), a king size Twix (Yum-O) and a mag with delicious Johnny Depp on it!!!!  I'm in Vday Heaven.  Much thanks to Crystal for setting me up with the sweet stuff.

5. What is one color that describes you? Pink, it is bright and fun which is how I like to see myself.

In other news, I can tell I and all my other bloggy friends have been back at work.  Ugh!  Do we really have to work, it cuts into my blog time!  The reason we blog, is because we teach, so I guess we must teach :)  I haven't been able to post my usual 1 post daily, but have been reading about all the awesome things you are doing.  Once I get time, I will post some pics of the sweet New Year's door I created thanks to all my awesome friends in blog world.  I have also decided to create a Soil unit to complement/replace the science kit we have in the next 9 weeks.  As soon as it is up, I will let ya know!  

I am lovin' my free Showtime preview and watching ALL  the Twilight movies back to back.  (what is sad, I have them all on DVD!)  All I need is free movies and my laptop and I'm good to go this weekend.

1. I have adorable twin girls that were born right before Christmas last year, so my house officially looks like ToysRus blew up!

First Day Back, Drumroll Please!!!!!!!

Well today was my first day back from break and I was fully expecting all out craziness from the kiddos and sleepy spells from myself.  Guess what happened?!?!?!??!  None of the above!  My kids were, wait for it....PERFECT! I couldn't believe how good they were knowing that they had been without structure for so long.  I will admit that I didn't exactly show my alarm clock love this morning, but after finally getting going, the day was pretty good.

The highlight of my day was getting an email surprise form Amanda from One Extra Degree I had won her giveaway and commented on how I loved another of her units and what did that sweet darling do, but send me that one too!!!  I was giddy all day telling all my colleagues about it.   She has the most adorable and functional units.  Make sure you check her out, especially if you are looking to get into the Reading and Writing Workshop.
