I'm kicking off 2013 right by joining up with Farley's Currently.
I put my girls down for a nap and usually there is some chatter, but they took it to a whole new level! I heard nothing but giggling for at least an hour! Needless to say, no nap for them.
Loving
There is nothing I would rather do then spend time with my family. We have been with our extended family over Christmas and have enjoyed many meals, playing games and of course gifts. Being with them brings back all the memories I have of being a child at Christmas. I want those same type memories for my girls!
Thinking
We started our school year with an Interim Principal and got a big announcement the day before break that we were getting a "real" principal!!!!! It has been a difficult time for the whole staff, but now I find myself thinking a lot about what is going to change come Wednesday when we return! Stay tuned for updates!
Wanting
Two words: NEW HOUSE! We bought our house back in 2006 as a starter home. It was brand new and I was in love with it as soon as I saw it. I had no problem with the size when we first moved in, but 6 years and a set of twins later and we have outgrown it! The girls' have a playroom (which is necessary for my sanity) but their toys still find their way all over the house. I know now isn't the time for a move, but a girl can dream right???
Needing
The hubs and I completed Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University back in the fall as part of a small group at our church. It was the single best thing that we could have done in 2012. We learned that I am the nerd
OLW
Positive-I am the world's worst at being a Negative Nelly. The hubs is always telling me I need to be more positive and look for the positive in situations. I am really going to try to be more positive. This OLW can really be carried over to all areas of my life.
Here's to a great 2013! Head over and link up with Farley :)
Came across your blog from Currently. I LOVE your OLW! It's very easy to fall into a trap of negative talk, especially at school. This goes along well with my OLW... I'm going to keep it in mind. Happy 2013!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing better than giggling of little siblings! Love it. Nice to meet you through Farley.

I found you through Currently and am your newest follower! I'm interested to hear how things are going to be with a new principal in the middle of the year! Love your OWL - it is many times difficult to stay positive when so many others are negative.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

We just got a new principal. I know exactly what you are going through. It has not been easy for me, but I am trying to stay positive and open minded. Good luck!

My Second Sense
I am super nervous!!! I have dealt with lots of new admin, but never in the middle of the year!
DeleteGood luck with the quest for a new house...I would love something a little bigger (either a bonus room or a basement, for the TOYS!!!), but we love our house and neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteI only know you from blogging, but I cannot imagine that you are ever negative. You always seem very upbeat!

You are too sweet!!!! I am glad that I don't come across negative on the blog! Its mainly with the hubs haha maybe its his problem :p
DeleteMen can do that! ;-)
DeleteThanks for posting on my blog. Either you or Amber had invited me to your blogger meetup a few months ago, but we had friends coming to town that weekend. Let me know when you schedule another! As for my OLW, faith, I definitely need work! There were a lot of ups and downs in my world in 2012, and I am just trying to have faith and remember that everything is part of a bigger plan. If I can do that, I will hopefully become a more positive person too!

ReplyDeleteAdventures of a Third Grade Teacher
I am an HGTV junkie! I have a notebook/file of all of things I am going to have in my dream house one day! We built in 2006, but that was prior to having a child. In fact, we thought we would only be here a couple of years, but then the wonderful housing priced plummeted. I love our house, but we, too, have outgrown it. Great post! I look forward to reading and exploring your blog more.
